One of the toys that will allow your child to move into that fantasy world of play is the Fisher Price Little People Sit n Stand Skyway. This is so cool. I wish they would have had this when my kids were little. It would have been so much fun to play with them!
It is a really easy access toy. It converts from sit-at-roadway position to a stand up Skyway and back again! When in the upright position it stands approximately three feet in height (34″), about the same height of a small child.
Little ones can drive the Wheelies cars through the car wash. They can fill up at the gas pump and run errands just like mom and dad. Gates can be lifted so the cars can zip down the ramps. With a little help from mom and dad the playset can be transformed into a Skyway. Place the Wheelies cars at the top and lets the cars zoom down the spiral ramps.
There are so many opportunities for imaginative play with this toy. Placing the cars on the track, flipping the switches to change exits, fueling up at the gas pump, opening and closing the gates – all of these tasks promote hand and finger dexterity and stimulate their imagination.
The Skyway comes with the Wheelies cars but it also works with many other kids’ toy cars that your child might already have. One reviewer said that this is a nice alternative to a doll house, but designed for little boys. However, it does include several small pieces so it is not recommended for children under the age of 3. In the reviews a grandparent said they bought it for their grandsons. However, their dad who is 34 was having just as much fun playing with it as the kids were!
